Legacies of the Street

With support from California Humanities for the Arts, Pueblo Planning partnered with community members in the West Adams neighborhood in Los Angeles and the UC Davis Feminist Research Institute in an experiment to see how storytelling can influence planning decisions on the built environment and impact the community. Pueblo Planning co-developed with local residents a wheat paste mural of the community’s history of the built environment under a freeway overpass. This piece of art also served as an act of reclaiming public space.
